Letybo vs Botox: What Feels Different?

By Nurse Jayme Escalona, RN · 5 min read

Korean glass skin beauty at Next OV Skin Edmonds

If you're comparing Letybo and Botox, you're not alone. Many patients want to know what actually feels different — and whether one delivers a softer, more natural result. At Next OV Skin in Edmonds, we offer both, along with Xeomin. Letybo is sometimes referred to as Korean tox or K-Tox. Here's what Nurse Jayme considers when helping patients choose.

What Do All Three Have in Common?

Botox, Xeomin, and Letybo are all neurotoxins — they work by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles. All three:

  • Smooth forehead lines, crow's feet, and frown lines (the "11s")
  • Are administered in a quick in-office appointment (most visits take under 20 minutes)
  • Require no downtime — you can resume normal activities the same day
  • Deliver results that typically last 3-4 months

Botox Cosmetic: The Gold Standard

Botox is the most recognized name in injectables and has the longest clinical track record. It uses onabotulinumtoxinA to relax targeted facial muscles. For many patients, Botox is a trusted, well-understood choice — particularly for those who have been getting treatments for years.

Xeomin (Smart Tox): The Pure Neurotoxin

Xeomin is sometimes called "naked Botox" because it contains only the active neurotoxin without the accessory proteins found in Botox. This makes it a good option for clients who prefer a cleaner, more minimalist formula. Some practitioners also recommend it for patients who have developed resistance to Botox over time.

Letybo: The Korean Neuromodulator

Letybo is a neuromodulator developed in South Korea, where precision aesthetics are the standard. Many patients are drawn to it because it can feel soft and natural — and it's become a favorite among first-time patients at Next OV Skin.

  • Quicker onset — Letybo tends to show results faster than traditional Botox
  • Ultra-pure formulation — advanced Korean manufacturing processes result in a highly refined product
  • Natural-looking results — known for producing a soft, refined appearance that maintains facial expressiveness

Which One Is Right for You?

  • First-time injectable patient? Botox or Letybo are both excellent starting points.
  • Prefer a formula without additives? Xeomin (Smart Tox) is worth considering.
  • Interested in a softer feel or faster onset? Letybo may be worth trying.
  • Already have a protocol that works? Stick with what your body responds to — or ask Nurse Jayme if switching might offer any benefit.
